The Mode Theater

Your event will be wonderful at the historic  Mode Theater, limited only by your imagination.  Whether you are planning a wedding, party, celebration, meeting, or just needing a space to practice, film, display, or sell, The Mode is here for you. 

What We Do

The Mode is a rental space that seeks to accomodate your special event.  It is situated between Madison and Milwaukee in downtown Waterloo.  The Mode strives to support artistic efforts, provide  audiences with quality entertainment, and assist individuals or organizations in achieving successful special events.  The Mode can accomodate varied needs and thrives on originality.  No talent is too big or too small to find an audience at The Mode!

What's New?

Currently at The Mode:

• Waterloo Yoga, taught by Eric Cotting, meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30-8pm., and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 6:20-7:30 am.  Eric may be reached at 920-478-2404.   Each session is $5.  No registration is necessary. 
• The Mode hosts ballet and jazz dance lessons for 4-12 year olds on Monday nights.  The spring semester begns 1/17/11.  Leah Paape, instructor, may be reached at 920-478-2404.
• ZUMBA classes are on Saturday mornings,  9-10:00.  A six week series costs $30.  The next series begins 1/15/11.  Wendy Schreiner is the instructor. 
• Also, several art pieces of Terry Straavaldsen and Ellen Dudley are on display.  Most are for sale.  Please call for a private viewing time.
